Private Cello Lessons:

  1. I love teaching students of all ages and ability levels, both young children and adults.  I also have experience and enjoy working with people that have neurological differences or special needs.  I believe that all students benefit from learning a musical instrument, regardless if they’re aspiring to careers as musicians or just playing for fun.  Learning cello allows students to gain artistic satisfaction, self-discipline, interpersonal skills, and methods for creative problem solving.  I also aim to impart my passion for music, so I include a discussion of music history and music theory in all lessons. (see lesson policies and teaching schedule for rates and availability).

  1. Evan Leslie's teaching has been a turning point in my playing. His devout attention to the importance of fixing issues I have had with fundamental techniques plus his positive and nurturing personality have allowed me to accelerate my playing ability. He has shown me the importance of being willing to give attention to the smallest details which allowed me to play pieces that should have otherwise been unattainable for me. Thanks, Evan!”

  2. Marian Ritter - an aspiring music therapist, now studying music at Sam Houston State University.
